Position Summary

The Rolls-Royce Retirement Savings Trust (RRRST) is a trust-based pension and retirement savings scheme that provides benefits to Rolls-Royce employees in the UK.  It is governed by a Trustee Board and has £2.1bn assets under management. Day to day administration is outsourced to Aviva.

As part of GBS People Services this role supports the delivery of accounting, cash management, reporting and operational compliance activity for pensions and retirement benefits.

This role delivers Trustee accounting reports, insurance renewals and oversees payroll/third party interfaces.  This role is responsible for preparation of financial statements and other statutory reporting for the RRRST, oversight of payment processes, internal controls & audit and providing support services to the Trustee’s Risk and Audit Committee.

What you will be doing:

  • Prepare and present the RRRST annual report and financial statements, quarterly management accounts and budget.
  • Act as the main liaison for statutory auditors and HMRC, including tax returns and pensions-related tax reporting.
  • Manage the RRRST bank accounts, liquidity, benefit payments, and employer-related contributions.
  • Oversee retirement and death payments, ensuring accurate audit records.
  • Lead internal controls oversight and act as the primary contact for the employer’s internal controls team.
  • Manage RRRST and employer cost centre budgets, including recharge processes.
  • Own insurance data and manage day-to-day insurance operations, claims, and renewals.
  • Support policy development, assurance activities, and incident response planning.
  • Collaborate across HR, GBS, Finance, and Payroll to manage joiners/leavers, pension cashouts, and monthly payroll processes.
  • Monitor and report key statistics for leadership and governance forums.

Position Qualifications:

  • Educated to A Level standard or higher. Pensions Management Institute or accounting qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in pensions operations, finance or risk management.
  • Proficient in using Intellicount, Bankline, MS Office and SAP.

  • Strong troubleshooting and reporting skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex tasks and lead projects to completion.
  • Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
